Bloggers Block

I've had a real severe case of bloggers block recently. I've started a few posts in my head, but I quickly realize that it seems like every other post I write or is blatantly plagiarizing someone else's blog. So forgive me if you think you've heard this before...I give up!

Paige is growing into a full-faced, fat, roly-poly baby. She was 12 weeks this past Saturday and the 19th will be her 3-month birthday. Time seems to be flying by so quickly -- well it literally did go by faster this past weekend when we had to "Spring" forward.

Seriously, I can't believe it has been 12 weeks since I woke up with labor pains. My how time flies. My maternity leave is over and I have returned to work. I had two-fold feelings on going back to work. On the one hand, I was looking forward to daily interaction with adults that doesn't include a baby in tow. On the other hand, I was sad to be leaving my sweet little girl for 8 or more hours every day and missing out on her growth and development. However, we have all adjusted pretty well to the new routine, albeit slow, as we wake up at 6 am and struggle to leave the house before 8 am.

Luckily in my last week at home, we made a major breakthrough with the bottle. Paige finally succumbed. We broke her by putting her in her bouncy chair (one of her favorite toys) to give her the bottle. Distraction worked beautifully.

She really does love her bouncy chair and is so funny flailing her feet and waving her arms about all the while. I tried to upload a video of this, but it had literally been hours and we made no progress on the upload, so I gave up.

What else is she doing? She is discovering her hands and swatting at toys, she is so close to rolling over from back to front, and she is holding her head and neck up higher when she's on her tummy. She's growing out of all of her clothes and at this rate, will be in her six-month clothes before she turns six months. Thus far, she has done great in adjusting to the new routine and to spending her days with Nana and Poppy. Now I am hoping to ween her off of her lunchtime feeding and send three bottles to N&P Daycare. I'll upload some new pics of her soon.
