Sweet Grass Dairy

WARNING...LONG POST (well it's mostly pics)!

Today the Grooters, Ginns and Clicks (minus Blaine who is still in the depths of tax season) ventured to Thomasville to the Sweet Grass Dairy, a locally-owned goat farm that makes their own artisan cheeses. It was a new experience for the adults and kids (no pun intended) alike.

The goats are free range, mostly grass-fed goats. They give them some feed to help them come in for milking and because it provides essential dietary needs. It's amazing how easy they come in to get milked.

I like his shirt!

Logan likes the goats!

They gave everyone a short lesson and chance to milk the goats. Jack was one of the first to give it a shot.

Mommies on the farm.

Learning about making the cheese. Afterwards we headed to their market and sampled and bought several of the delicious cheeses.

We enjoyed petting and playing with the yearlings.

Love the way my tractor shots turned out and making them look old-fashioned.

I'd highly recommend you take a trip to Sweet Grass Dairy with your kids {pun-intended}!
