Hilton-style Holiday

We spent this weekend with the Hilton family!

Ok, so maybe not Paris Hilton's actual family, but at one of their properties, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa. This is one of my clients at work {Rowland Publishing produces the in-room magazine and guest services directory} and I am their Client Services Representative. I love working with them each year to put these publications together, but have yet to stay at the actual resort {a minor oversight}. I decided to call in a favor and got a great rate {and a great room} for the very busy 4th of July weekend.

A birds eye view of Sandestin from our 15th floor room.

The pool deck and all of the tiny little ants.

The umbrellas were 4-5 rows deep {luckily we reserved early enough to get one oceanfront}.

The Hilton had these great inflatable water slides for the kids set up on the beach. What an awesome idea! Jack had a great time playing on them.

The gorgeous Junior Deluxe Suite {and amazingly comfy bed}.

Jack loved the bunk beds and mini flat screen for kids.

Barefoots Beachfront Restaurant.

A game of peek-a-boo leads to a great photo op!

Pondering life {or just really tuckered out}.

See, told you he loved the bunk beds. He wanted to sleep on the top bunk and all I could think of is, 'God, I hope he doesn't fall off and break something'.

Baby girl was ready for a day at the beach, despite coming down with a case of conjunctivitis {pink eye}.

Fireworks on the beach, were up close and personal from our balcony. Wow, what a show!

My crappy versions below.

I wonder if Paige realizes how much her big brother loves her? I hope it lasts...

I can't say that it was a wonderfully relaxing weekend for Ben and I. But I can say that it was worth it because, I know it was great fun for the kids. Jack just loves the beach and pool {and swims like a little fish now}. And Paige had fun exploring the feel of sand {on her toes, in her hands and yes, even in her mouth} and kicks with excitement anytime we take her in the pool or ocean. So we know that she enjoyed it, too! We can't wait to go back...maybe when there are a few less people and Ben and I can relax, too. ;-)

  1. LOVE the first photo!! I now am aching for a trip to this Hotel. I LOVE the bunk beds!! I also have to admit that pink eye or no pink eye, I am mildly, well, really obsessed with Paige. She is the cutest chunky monkey EVER.
