The resulting injury was two busted lips and nearly knocking his two front teeth out and at very least, doing a very good job to reposition them. These two fated teeth have been doomed from the time they first made their appearance. He has chipped them at least twice in the bathtub beforehand, so it comes as no surprise that they have fallen victim again.

Daddy did his best to push them back in, but to not much avail. He may very well lose one or both of them. Only time will tell. Until then I hope his injuries heal quickly and he doesn't do any damage to his permanent teeth.

The first time Paige laughed was when we were walking Marley. Don't know if it is her wagging tail, or toothy grin, but whatever it is...Paige finds her to be more funny than all of our tickling and funny faces trying to make her laugh.

Jack said to me about a week ago, "Mommy we need to go to the grocery store. We need make an apple pie. Let's make a list. We need six apples, butter, sugar..." I was so floored by the fact that he knew what we needed that I thought, "Okay, well I guess we need to make an apple pie." It was the perfect activity for a mini-sous chef.
5 Macintosh Apples {the edible kind, not the computing type}, peeled and sliced
Be sure to give your pint-sized helper a kiddie knife and a thin slice of apple to keep them engaged and involved, while you handle the sharp knives.
And here we demonstrate precisely how NOT to handle a knife.
Squeeze a lemon over the apples and stir.
Mix 1 c. of sugar, 1 Tbsp. of flour, 1 tsp. of cinnamon and a dash of salt in a small bowl. And sprinkle over the apples.
Then beat one egg, 1 tsp. of vanilla and 6 Tbsp. of melted butter in a small bowl. Stir into apple mixture.
Line an ungreased pie plate with a Pillsbury pie crust and fill with apple mixture. Top with second crust and cut slits in top to vent.
Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 10 minutes, then reduce temp to 350 degrees and bake for 50 minutes.
{Tip - place a cookie sheet on the rack below to catch any bubble over and keep your oven clean.}
Cool and enjoy a la mode with your little helpers...sure to turn tears into smiles.
