The whole fam damily just returned from a trip to Minnesota for a graduation, a christening, a brunch {and a partridge in a pear tree}.
I pretty much unplugged myself from the computer and cell phone - only taking a few phone calls and checking email twice. And much to my husband's joy....no blogging and no Facebooking!
For someone that works in front of a computer and answers phone's all day...it was just what I needed. Not only did I not want to be plugged in, but I really didn't have the time, between sight-seeing, visiting with family and preparing for Paige's baptism. Not to say that it was all-relaxing – at times, it was par for the course. However, spending quality {albeit chaotic} time with my kids is far more rewarding than stressing about work or volunteering.
In the busy three-day week that lies ahead of me, I will undoubtedly wonder what in the hell I was thinking unplugging for 7 days straight. Alas, the weekend will be here quickly and hopefully I can catch up.
