First you dice the fruits or veggies.
Add the food to the steamer basket, fill reservoir with the right amount of water.
Steam...and wait.
Dump the food into the food processor and puree while adding steam water back to achieve desired consistency.
Then get some cute and handy-dandy baby food containers (or recycle old baby food jars).
Then freeze.
It is seriously so easy that a full-time working mom of two can even handle. What's even better is that now that I have stored up a few meals, I can work ahead. So the next time I'm cooking for the rest of the family, I can reserve a some food to puree up for Paige.
And it's a good thing, because clearly she might need to eat a little more!
"Hey, you talkin' 'bout me?"
Precious butterball!
ReplyDeleteShe's so cute! I loved making food for both my girls. I quickly found out, though, that Amery really preferred whatever we were eating--spices and all--so I just started making her a "plate" and pureeing table food with some low-sodium chicken broth. Now, she's a better eater than Leah! :)
