Some of my greatest childhood memories include my dad. Nothing reminds me more of him than music. He was always singing and usually he had a guitar in his hand, too. I sometimes hear one of his regular songs on the radio or on my iPod and I get a little verklempt. Today I'm going fishing with my dad. I know he'll enjoy it and fishing is another one of those activities that reminds me of him. Without him, I'm not sure that I'd ever get to go. I'll be soaking up every little bit of my time with him because between the hustle and bustle of daily life {work, husband, kids, etc}, it is so rare to get to spend quality time together anymore.
Meanwhile somewhere on a golf course will be my childrens' daddy. He'll be enjoying the day to himself because he's a hard workin' daddy. Not only does he bring home {most of} the bacon, he's also the vacuum king, the laundry man, the nanny boy and the grill master. I admittedly don't say it enough, but he's a good husband and great father and I love him and appreciate him so much!

Happy Father's Day!
